1) The cover pops open while driving.
A. The track end-caps are not butted up against the inside face of the tailgate (See Photo #1).
B. The track end-caps are not butted up against the tailgate extrusion end-caps (See Photo #1).
C. The tailgate extrusion is not level (it is rotated up or down).
D. The tailgate extrusion is not centered on the tailgate.
E. The bedrail caps or bedliner are interfering with the latches engaging the tracks (See Photo #2).
F. The bedliner tailgate panel protrudes beyond the left or right sides of the tailgate.

2) The cover only locks on one side.
A. The track end-caps are not butted up against the inside face of the tailgate (See Photo #1).
B. The track end-caps are not butted up against the tailgate extrusion end-caps (See Photo #1).
C. The tailgate extrusion is not level (it is rotated up or down).
D. The tailgate extrusion is not centered on the tailgate.
E. The bedrail caps or bedliner are interfering with the latches engaging the tracks (See Photo #2).
F. The bedliner tailgate panel protrudes beyond the left or right sides of the tailgate.

3) The cover does not close evenly (there is a gap on one side at the tailgate).
A. The operator is pulling the cover closed from one side of the handle. Even force from both sides is required when closing to make sure both latches engage.
B. The track end-caps are not butted up against the inside face of the tailgate (See Photo #1).
C. The track end-caps are not butted up against the tailgate extrusion end-caps (See Photo #1).
D. The tailgate extrusion is not level (it is rotated up or down).
E. The tailgate extrusion is not centered on the tailgate.
F. The bedrail caps or bedliner are interfering with the latches engaging the tracks (See Photo #2).
G. The bedliner tailgate panel protrudes beyond the left or right sides of the tailgate.

4) The cover has too much play side-to-side; the latches do not line up with the pins in the tailgate extrusion.
A. The track end-caps are not butted up against the inside face of the tailgate (See Photo #1).
B. The bedrail caps or bedliner are interfering with the latches engaging tracks (See Photo #2).

5) What needs to be trimmed on a bed liner?
A. See the diagrams on page three of the installation guide for details.

6) Breaking track end-caps.
A. The operator is pulling the cover through them when tailgate is down. Before closing the cover, make sure the key lock assembly is in the seven o’clock position. Visit the “Operating Instructions” page located in the “Products” section of the website, or see the “Hang Tag” included with the installation guide.
B. The track end-caps are not butted up against the inside face of the tailgate (See Photo #1).
C. The track ends are adjusted too far in and the tailgate extrusion makes contact when the tailgate is closed (See Photo #1).
D. The track ends are rotated up and the tailgate extrusion makes contact when the tailgate is closed.

7) How do I maintain my cover?
A. Visit the “Care & Maintenance” page located in the “Products” section of the website, or see the “Hang Tag” included with the installation guide.

8) The cover will not unlock from the tailgate extrusion.
A. The operator is not pulling back on the handle before rotating the key lock assembly to ten o’clock position.
B. The tailgate extrusion is not level (it is rotated up or down).
C. The bedliner tailgate panel is contacting the handle extrusion. Trim the top edge of tailgate panel lower.

9) Can the cover be installed with aftermarket bedrail caps or an over-the-rail sprayed in liner?
A. Only if either are no more than 1/8” thick per side.

10) The cover is hard to pull.
A. The tracks are too far inboard and squeezing the cover.
B. The tracks are not level; they are tilted up or down.
C. The tracks have been lubricated with lithium grease or similar. Clean the tracks and then lubricate with the Ragg Topp™ protectant provided.

11) The cover leaks water.
A. No bed cover is waterproof! However, if installed correctly, water intrusion should be minimal.
B. Make sure the drain tubes are clean.
C. Make sure drain fittings are not blocked.

12) There is a dimple in the vinyl (caused by underside of lock mechanism).
A. Installer error! Heed the yellow label on the canister when installing the unit!!
